The floating isle of Atlantis

This project was a challenge for me, I wanted to illustrate floating pieces of rocks that are actually inhibited like the ones we see in so many sci-fi and fantasy stories. It is funny how often we use floating isles and I wonder why. Look at warcraft 3 where Ilidian was fighting a great demon, look at Half-life's border world Xen or the Avatar movie where some of the rock were floating and so many more. There's almost like we know that they should exist and they may have even existed. There is some reality to floating lands and we might just see them in the future.
